Hi~! I've changed my music! Salta Cello has revised the Korean traditional music called Ong Heya. I hope you all enjoy the Korean-Jazz music~!

Today I offered 105 bows and an hour of meditation to my ancestors.

In Korea, we offer fresh water in a clean bowl daily in the morning and night

and pray to our ancestors. To us, ancestors are our God. why? because

ancestors or parents are the direct reason for our being. However, Korea now has a large popularity of Christianity and other many religions as well.

Many people try to regard this offering water culture as a small part of Korea's history but really it is the tradition and history of Korea culture.

Believing in God or Having faith is beautiful. but one needs to be wise

to find the right path of finding the God or the faith. Where is the faith?

Hi~! I watched Starwars Episode 3 few days ago. wow, what a movie~!

I remember I do have a memory of watching one of the series but

I guess I was to young to understand the story.

"May the force be with you". this force can mean "qi, chi or energy"

or even the source in Wicca. and to perform an act of meditation

is to accumulate the qi or energy as an life-force.

I am in a hurry now, gotta go to my work. I work in a English Institution,

where I teach English to elementary students. Life is sure is not  easy

without earning money. so I have to do my job. I will update some writings

about YeokHak and spirituality or Korean traditions or my own religious interest.

Until then, May the force be with you~lol.

<History of Yin & Yang>

To understand the history of Yin & Yang.

One needs to understand of the lost history of the Ancient of East

"Since the end of the Three Sacred Dynasties called

Hwahn-gook,

Bae-dahl,

and Old Joseon,"

(DoJeon 1:1:6)

The map of the Three Sacred Dynasties:

Hwahn-gook (ü¸ÏÐ); lasted from 7199 to 3898 BC

Bae-dahl (ÛÃÓ¶); from 3898 to 2333 BC

Old Joseon (ͯðÈàØ); from 2333 to 238 BC

The fist civilization is called Hwahn-gook. there culture and religion was

called Shingyo(Spirit Teaching).

Spirit Teaching (ãêÎç): Shin-gyo. Primordial form of spirituality,

ur-religion, which existed at the beginning of human civilization.

In spirit Teaching, people worshiped

Sahng-jeh-nim or the God, Lord of Heaven and the spirits in heaven and earth,

and ancestral spirits.

From Spirit Teaching, people learned of God, the nature of the universe,

and how to conduct their lives.

The country or dynasty called Hwahn-gook is not the country or civilization

of certain country or ethnic, but the root country and civilization of all human.

So, it is the origin and root for every country.

After Hwan-gook, there comes seperations of different cultures and civilizations.

In current history is known as the 4 civilizations

Mesopotamian civilization, Indus civilization, Huanghe civilization

and Egypt civilization.

For the West, it has well-known that the there was a country or civilization called

"Sumerian civilization" during BC 3500-1950. which is also known the former

civilization of Mestopotamian civlization. it was found at the same place.

Until yet, the history scholars find the Sumerian civilization as the very first

civilization of human history.

Now, let me get back to the subject, so when and how was yin & yang found or revealed?

Bohk-hee(?- 3413 BC):

Also referred to as Great Bright Bohk-hee. In China's mythology, he was an early  Chinese emperor born with a snake's body. But he was the last son of the fiftth emperor, Tae-ooh-ui of the Bae-dahl dynasty(3898-2333 BC), Korea.

According to I-Ching, he was the father of civilization and the first person to

draw I-Ching trigrams. His name is also romanized as Fuxi or Fu-hsi.

(DoJeon Appendix E, Glossary)

How did Bohk-hee found the yin & yang?

By the Diagram he had found at Yellow River. He was a cultivator of Dao.

studied and meditated. here is the diagram.

Ha-doh(Yellow River Diagram) was discovered by Bohk-hee, who,

according to I-Ching, was the founder of civilization.

Bearing this pattern on its back, a legendary beast called a "dragon horse"

emerged from the Yellow River. The digagram illustrate the philosophy of creativity and change based on numerology. Black dots represent the even (yin) numbers, and white dots the odd(yang) numbers.

One yang and one yin number is assigned to each of the five elements.

(DoJeon Appendix D, Diagrams of Creativity and Change)

Taesabunim word

"One plus Two is Three.

Then what is One plus one plus one?

That is also three.

You know Li(principle)

than there is no way

you can be swindled by others."

The principle or nature law is the law.

Something not can be changed.

Therefor you know the law,

you can have the wise eyes of

what is going to happen next

from the small scale of incident up to the big scale incident.

There is no way that the principle can be changed.

spring is spring. summer is summer.

This Li(principle, Nature Law) is revealed to human as "Sang(nature sign)"

and the concrete explanation of Li and Sang is "Su(The Number)".

"The Number is not made by the meanings of man

but The Number itself is the Truth and philosophy.

Therefor the Sang(nature sign) of The Number is not a fake-vision

but a genuine-vision.

Once more, all-things in nature appear as Sang(nature sign),

and that Sang(nature sign) absolutely contains

the context of the Sang(nature sign) which is Su(The number)"

(I translated a part of the book

"Principle of change and transformation of the universe")

Let me give you an example.

There is a old saying in Korea,

When a swallow flies low on the ground than it will rain soon.

Why?

The Sang(nature sign) is "the swallow flying low".

Well, before raining the air pressure gets low that

the weather becomes humid.

The insects with wings will be flying low

and the swallows will be flying low to eat the insects with wings.

The number of swallows will tell how much humid it is therefor

it explains how hard it will rain.

The swallow flying low itself is the nature sign.

the reason of swallow flying low will be the Li(principle).

Have you see the movie "Troy"?

If you did you might remember the scene

when the priest advises to the Priam King of Troy who were talking

if they had to release the woman or fight against  Achilles of the Greeks,

the priest said

something about a bird was flying and Hector the eldest son of Priam King

didn't believe it. I just wanted to point out that the priest or religious advisor

was trying to see the Sang(nature sign) of what is going to happen.

Next series to be continued.

<East Philosophy transformed as West Materialism>

img9.gif

Books that relate the history of computers generally credit the digital theory that is the foundation of computer systems to Gottfried Leibniz, who is many times referred to as "the father of the digital revolution". The picture on the left is an illustration of the binary system that Leibniz created, and the picture below is an illustration of the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching. There is not much difference between the two illustrations as the picture on the left merely uses the numbers 0 and 1 rather than the symbols of Yin and Yang.

 img11.gif

img2.gif The picture on the left is the coat-of-arms that Niels Bohr, one of the founders of quantum physics, wore on his formal dress when he received his knighthood in 1947. He created the atomic model, consisting of protons and electrons. In the I Ching, the Tai Chi is the all-encompassing totality and, simultaneously, all of its component parts. The Tai Chi is formed by Yin and Yang, much like the model of an atom that consists of the proton (Yang) and the electron (Yin). Bohr's reverence for the principles of the I Ching were apparent in his decision to wear the Tai Chi symbol when advancing into knighthood. He is also known for his creation of the Theory of Complementarity, which states that opposites are complementary, reflecting the mutual dependence theory of Yin and Yang formulated in the I Ching. Bohr stated that the ¡°great truth is a statement whose opposite is also a great truth.¡±

img3.gif                                                 Ever since Leibniz discovered the I Ching and wondered at its profoundness, many western scientists have been covertly studying the principles of the I Ching. Einstein was no exception. Prior to the announcement of the Theory of Relativity, scientists were not able to divide nature into matter and energy and recognize their mutual relationship. It is possible that Einstein may have first recognized the fundamental principles of the I Ching, which states that Yin is constantly changing into Yang and Yang to Yin, prior to his creation of E=mc2. This famous formula describes a situation in which energy constantly changes into matter and matter into energy. In western science there exists innumerable principles in physics, chemistry, biology, etc., that cannot be related to one another. In the I Ching, however, there is a single unified theory that applies to all things in the universe. Einstein attempted to create a unified field theory that ties together the four forces (gravity, electromagnetic force, strong and weak nuclear forces) in his latter years. The unified field theory is identical to the unified theory of the Tai Chi in the I Ching, which Einstein attempted to handle in a more profound manner. Nevertheless, Einstein was not able to achieve his objective.
